Is tubing in Vang Vieng over?

You’ll find the three B’s in the town of Vang Vieng – backpackers, bars and booze. Not your thing? There are still waterfalls, caves and mountains to be explored in the surrounding area, but there’s no doubt about it, most travellers come here to take part in the main event – tubing.

Is the slow boat to Laos worth it?

The big question asked by travellers making their way from northern Thailand to Laos is should I take the slow boat or the overnight bus?

When you’re on a budget the lesser cost is usually the decider, but in this case another couple of things need to be taken into consideration.
