Reflecting | Life and travel update

Hello, it’s been a while!

As time has gone by I guess I’ve felt less and less connected to the person who last posted here. That’s not to say I’m not the same travel obsessed, globe trotter. I’m still at it, maybe just at a slower pace. But a lot has changed since my last post. I was starting a new chapter of my life, unexpectedly jumping into the world of solo travel and embarking on a whole new style of adventure. I made the conscious decision to experience as much as I possibly could, embrace every opportunity and make a number of personal changes.… Read more

Day trips from Melbourne: Wine tasting in the Yarra Valley

One of the many things I love about Melbourne is the fact that there are so many places to explore in the surrounding area. Top on my list after the great ocean road (coming soon!) was a chance to do some wine tasting in the Yarra Valley.

The Yarra Valley is a renowned wine region only about an hour’s drive away from Melbourne, which makes it a perfect day trip getaway. Not just for the wine drinkers, it’s home to a number of farms, lunch spots, beautiful grounds, nature trails and spectacular scenery.… Read more

The Liebster Award | Get to know me

Liebster Award

I’ve been nominated for a Liebster Award! An award by bloggers for bloggers. It’s passed around the blogging community with the aim of getting to know each other better and discovering new blogs.

A huge thanks to Kat from Kat Is Travelling for nominating me. A fellow English blogger also currently down under, Kat’s been exploring the east coast and now Melbourne where she’s currently working. If you haven’t already, go check out her adventurous tales and beautiful photos. In need of some Aussie inspo myself, I’m looking forward to seeing where she’s headed next.

As part of the Liebster Award I’ve been given 11 questions to answer before I can pay it forward and choose some, so lets get started.… Read more

This month also marks a year since I said goodbye to the UK to travel indefinitely… something I’m still trying to get my head around. What was 8 months of planned adventure has now turned into a fantastic 12, so in true New Year fashion I’ve put together a list of my top 10 travel moments of 2015.… Read more

A guide to 3 days in Ho Chi Minh City

3 days in Ho Chi Minh City

I find that when settling in one place after being on the move for a while it becomes very easy to get stuck into the day to day routine.

Whilst living and working in Ho Chi Minh city (formally Saigon), it was easy to think I’ve got plenty of time here, until it got very near to the end and I realised there was still a lot I hadn’t done. What’s great about living in a place is you get to see the local side of it but perhaps don’t get round to all the main ‘tourist’ attractions.

Luckily, my parents were coming out to visit before we headed back to Hoi An so I excitedly got planning a 3 day itinerary for when they were here.… Read more
